The bank holiday weekend starts off with some cloud and the radar images are showing that, up to around lunchtime there is around a 60% chance of a light isolated shower / drizzle. It is, however, almost as likely that the rain clouds will simply blow by.
The breeze will be stronger than of late due to a low pressure system beginning to push southwards across the UK. This is a complex system made up of a number of lines of air pressure and thus the wind speed will increase. The good news is that the wind will be blowing from the WSW-SW and will, therefore be mild. The average wind speed will be around 8-10 mph this morning reducing during the afternoon.
During the afternoon the brighter spells will be more frequent and, as the cloud thins, we will reach a top temperature of around 14c. Overnight the low will be around 8c.
Overall a generally mild day.
Summary
Early cloud will thin to bring some brighter spells. Breezy to start.
