At the moment a large band of rain carrying cloud is making its way across the Irish sea and has already reached parts of Scotland, Northern England and will soon be reaching Wales. This rain cloud will continue its way into the mainland of England and will reach us late morning / early afternoon. We can then expect some rain showers to fall during the afternoon / early evening. Yesterday around 4mm of rain fell in our area but I do not expect today’s fall to be as substantial.
The wind will have an average speed of around 8mph with gusts of up the 20mph. The wind will be blowing from the SW. The pressure charts are showing less isobars formations at the moment and, therefore, the wind should abate a little by Tuesday / Wednesday.
Our top temperature today will be about average for the time of year at around 11c, however, overnight the cloud will clear towards the E and this will allow temperatures to reach a minimum of around 5c.
A mix of sunshine, rain and wind.
