This morning starts off bright although when you step out you will notice that there is a 6-8 mph SW-WSW breeze blowing. The wind chill effect from the breeze will make this morning’s temperature of around 8c, when we travel to work, feel more like 5.5c.
As the day passes we will see the thermometer rise another couple of degrees to today’s maximum of around 10c.
The breeze will remain with us throughout the day and we the average speed increase slightly to around 10 mph. Gusts could be around 30mph.
As the morning passes we can expect to see the risk of rain increases as a band of rain cloud reaches our area from the NW. I would expect all of our areas to see some rain during the afternoon.
Overnight the cloud will clear a little and this will allow the thermometer to drop to an overnight low of around 5c.
