Back to school weather.

The dry and bright weather will continue today as the school children generally return to continue their studies.  With the new term comes the start of the new sport activities and today will be a fine day for rounders, cricket and athletics.

There will be an amount of fragmented cloud around today until the early evening, however, this will not prevent plenty of bright and sunny spells. The cloud will then clear to leave a clear night.  (Good news for the astronomers).

Our top temperature today will be around 18c and overnight the low will be around 8c.  The good news for today is that the generally northerly breeze which today will be blowing from the NE-NNE will be a lot less “breezy” than yesterday.  Therefore, it will be warm if you are out of the wind.  The average wind speed today will be around 4-5mph.

High pressure appears to remain with us for another few days and , as i indicated at the weekend, temperatures will continue to rise.  Summer is here for this week at least!  The chance of seeing any rain today is less than 5%.

A dry day with some bright spells.

Air pressure : 1032.9mb, Temperature : 13.4c, Relative humidity : 75%,  Wind : 4mph NW, Rain this month : 0mm, Rain this year : 191.6mm
