Today starts off with some bright spells although it is a little breezy outside. The average wind speed today will be around 8-10mph and from the SW-WSW although some gusts could reach 30-35mph. The breeze is with us because we are currently in a system of low air pressure and the closeness of the air pressure “bands” develops the breeze. It is likely that this level of breeze will stay with us for a couple of days.
The radar images are also shows that there are plenty of rain showers around. The heaviest of the rain looks like it will be in our area around lunchtime. You, however, can expect a localised light rain shower anytime up to later afternoon / early evening. After then the cloud appears to break up a little and we will see some clear spells. Yesterday we received around 3mm of rain in our area.
It will be cooler today than of late with a top temperature around 15c. Overnight the low, due to the lighter cloud base, will reach a minimum of around 10c.
A breezy day with some sunshine and showers.
