Monday morning clouds.

As I write this blog (approximately 08:00 hours) very light rain is falling.  The radar images tell me this current band of rain cloud will be across our area until 11:00 hours.  Whilst it may not rain that entire period of time it certainly would be a risk to put any washing out until after lunch.

During the afternoon period the cloud will thin a little although it will remain a generally cloudy day with the occasional brighter spell possible.  The air temperatures will, however, be warm with the high reaching around 18-19c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will also be in double figures at around 11c.

When you step out today you may notice that the wind is no longer blowing from the SW but is now deriving from the NE.   The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.

Summary

Threat of early rain clearing to leave a generally cloudy day.

Observations made at 08:00 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1015.9 mb, Temperature : 12.4c, Relative humidity : 87%,  Wind : 1 mph NE, Rain this month : 13.6 mm, Rain this year : 205 mm
