High air pressure with a warm front will be acting upon our area and, as I explained via the GFS Ensemble model a few days ago, air temperatures will rise.
This does not, however mean that we will have wall to wall sunshine. Cloud cover will remain with us for much of the day. This cover also brings the risk of a rogue localised shower during any part of the day. The biggest risk, with maybe some thunder too, is late afternoon / early evening when temperatures begin to cool.
Our top temperature today will be around 21c by mid afternoon although it will take some time to reach this peak. Overnight the minimum temperature will be a warm 12.5-13c.
The wind day will be changing position throughout the day. Starting off this morning from the NE we will see the direction derive from the all positions clockwise as the day progresses. We can expect the wind direction to end the day from the W-WNW. Whatever the direction of the wind it will be light all day. The average wind speed will be 3 – 4 mph.
With the increased temperature there will be more pollen about. The count for our area today is estimated to be high.
A cloudy but warm day.
