During the early hours of the morning 3mm of rain has fallen in our area and, as the day passes, we can expect to see some more rain showers of varying density.
During this morning the rain clouds that delivered the early morning rain will move away from our area leaving us with some dry spells. This afternoon, however, a large band of rain will move into our area from the SE corner of the UK. Some of the showers that this system brings could be heavy.
Despite a general covering of cloud our top temperature will be around 19-20c and overnight we will see the thermometer reach a minimum of around 13c. (Last night’s minimum temperature was 12.4c at 06:50 hours).
The wind will be generally light all day. The wind direction will start off from the NW but by evening time tonight we can expect the wind direction to have moved in a clockwise direction. By early evening we can expect a S breeze. The average wind speed today will be around 5mph.
