I thought I would use the headline before the Sun did! (Unless they have already).
Today will be a warm day. Our top air temperature today will be 28-29c and overnight the minimum will reach around 14c. As is our usual pattern we will see some early morning cloud but this will burn away to leave plenty of clear spells.
It is important that care is taken in these levels of heat as dehydration and burning can soon take place. Remember to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids and cover yourself up. The UV forecast for our area today is high at 6. The pollen count for those suffering is also high.
There is a slight chance (maximum 25%) of a sharp sunny shower late in the afternoon / early evening. This is more likely to occur, however, towards the east / south east of our area. it may, however, effect the test match in Nottingham.
The wind today will have an average speed of approximately 5mph. The wind will start off from the WSW but will end the day deriving from the NW.
