Summer continues

After yesterday’s scorching weather today will provide a small respite as it will be a degree or two cooler!

Today will start off partly cloudy and some of this cloud may hang around during the day. This will not however, prevent some good bright spells and some warm sunshine.

There is a real north / south divide about the weather today with parts of Scotland having a max below 20c whilst the south coast of England will reach near 30c. We are in the lower middle of the UK and can, therefore, expect a top temperature around 26c. Overnight the low will be around 14c last night 15.3c at 06:28 hours).

The prospects for the week continue to look good with the jet stream maintain a position high up he UK.

The pollen count today will be high and sun protection will be required.

The wind today will be blowing at an average speed of 5mph and the direction will be from the WSW moving towards the NW as the day passes.
