In our area we have only received 2.6mm of rain this month and today will not do anything to change this statistic. After yesterday’s scorching top temperature of 30.6c recorded by my weather station at 15:39 hours our farmers, gardeners and allotment holders are having a tough time keeping their crop watered.
Today will again be a warm and generally bright day with some occasional cloud to break up the blue sky. The cloud will gather enough in northern England ans South Wales to bring a drop of rain but this not reach our area. Our top temperature will be around 29c and this will be reached between 15:00 and 16:00 hours. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 16.5c. (Last night’s minimum temperature was 17.2c at 05:51 hours.
The wind will be light and will blow initially from the NNE but will eventually derive rom the E. The average wind speed will be around 4mph.
The UV factor today is high at level 6 which means that you will burn quickly if you are in the direct sunlight. The pollen count is also high.
A warm day with plenty of sunshine.
