This morning has already seen some rain with 1.4mm falling in our area during the early hours. The first rain system is heading towards the east at the time of observation (06:35 hours) and will have cleared our area by 08:30 hours.
Our area will then remain generally dry today although there is a 35% chance of further showers during the day. The wind will be warm and from the SSW and this will help create some cloud cover. The average wind speed today will be around 5mph.
Our top temperature today will be around 24c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 15c. After the early morning rain the pollen count will moderate.
Looking ahead the jet stream is maintaining a “loop” to the south before travelling across the UK from a general SW direction. Whilst this brings warm winds it also creates a low pressure system out to the W and, in turn, this brings more showery weather. The jet stream charts currently suggest the current weather pattern will be with us to until at least next Wednesday. I do not like to look further than this as so many things can change.
A warm day with day with some cloud cover. Bright spells too at times. Showers possible but not prolonged.
