Bright and breezy.

The key feature of today, weather wise, will be the steady breeze.  This breeze, initially blowing from the SW, will remain will us or the majority of the daylight hours.  We can expect the wind gust speed to be around 10-12 mph (average speed to be about 6mph).  As the day passes we can expect the wind direction to move further clockwise towards the W.

We will see varying amounts of cloud as the day passes which will bring both the risk of the odd light shower and some brighter spells.  The chance of rain, however, is only around 35%.

Our top temperature today will be around 20c and overnight when the clouds fragment further the minimum temperature will reach around 12c.

Looking ahead the jet stream appears to be moving northwards by the end of next week.  If this situation remains we should see a mild and pleasant weekend in seven days time.
