Jet stream pushing north.

The jet stream is beginning to push northwards and this means that whilst Scotland and the north of England will see some rain our are will remain dry as the southern climate dominates our area below a high pressure system that is still rising.

With the jet stream only just starting its journey northwards we will still see some cloud cover, however, this will fragment at times, rather like yesterday, to allow for some brighter spells to break through.

Our top temperature today  will be around 21c and overnight the minimum temperature will be similar to last night at around 11.5c.

There is  only a 7% chance of rain today so it would be a good risk to leave out any washing or plan to cut the lawn.

The wind today will have a speed of around 4-5mph and will be blowing from a SW direction.

Overall another mild and pleasant late summer’s day.

Summary

Cloud will fragment from time to time to leave an occasionally bright and pleasant day.
