More cloud

There will be a little more cloud around today and this is due to the jet stream becoming a little fragmented as it passes over the UK.

The outcome will be a generally mild day with a top temperature of around 21c and an overnight low of 15c.  The sun will break through to bring us some brighter spells but we will see more general cloud cover than we have of late.  Overall it will be a mostly dry day.

The cloud cover, however, does increase the risk of some light rain and the radar images are showing that a small band of rain cloud passes over our area  at around 07:30-08:00 hours this morning.  This rain cloud will possibly just blow by but the chances are that some of our area will see some light rain / drizzle. The chance of some rain in our area this morning is 75%.  Later tonight at around 18:30 another band of cloud will again bring the risk of rain but this time the risk is lower at around 45%.

The wind will remain light all day with an average speed of around 4-5mph.  The wind will be deriving from the SW.
