We have now fallen into a bit of a regular pattern with the weather. Cloudy to start the day, some bright spells and as the day begins to cool the risk of a shower increases. This is a typical pattern when we have, like today, a SW breeze and a jet stream running partially across the country.
Today will start off cloudy but we will see the clouds fragment at times during the day. This will allow for some brighter spells and for the temperature to rise to around 23c. At times, with the cloud cover, it could feel quite humid. Overnight the cloud will help keep our area warm and the low will be around 13c.
The risk of rain appears in our area from late afternoon (from around 16:00 hours). At this stage in the afternoon any rain would be localised and light. Many parts of our area will remain dry. Later in the evening the risk of rain increases and either during the evening or through the night (depending on the wind speed) we are likely to see some rain falling. The risk of some rain today is around 78%.
The wind will be light for the majority of the day (Average 5mph). Starting off deriving from the SSW the wind will move anticlockwise to derive from the SSE.
A generally mild and dry day with just the risk of some rain later in the day.
