Humidity high.

Last night, I am sure you noticed, was very warm and humid.  The minimum temperature was 13.6c and the relative humidity has remained around 85%.

This morning we will see some bright spells breaking through the clouds and this will help reduce some of the oppressive feeling – well, for a time at least. As the day passes into the afternoon the cloud will thicken, the humidity will again increase and a band of rain will move west to east across the UK.  The current images show that the rain clouds split and our area then sits in the gap.  There is still a 45% chance, however, that we will se some rain sometime between 16:00 hours and midnight.

Our top temperature today will be around 23c and the overnight low will be a “sticky” 15c.

The wind today will be light to start off and then increase a little in speed as the clouds thicken.  The wind direction will be from the SE and the average wind speed will be 5mph.

A bright start with cloud increasing later.  Staying warm throughout.
