Wind from the NW

Today brings a change in the wind direction.  For the whole day the wind will be bringing cooler air down from the NW.  The average wind speed will be around 8mph.  This wind direction, along with the cloud cover, will help reduce our top temperature to around 18c.  Overnight the low will be around 12c.

The radar images are currently showing dense rain clouds to the east of us with only sporadic rain clouds to the NW and W.  The heaviest rain will, therefore, be falling from a line North to South from around the Kettering area right to the East coast.  We can also expect to see some disruption at the test match at the Oval in London.  In our area we may see the odd light spell of  drizzle but this risk will reduce as the day passes.

Looking ahead to tomorrow shows a similar picture for our area but Monday currently looks as if we will see brighter spells and temperatures around 23c.
