On the up.

The jet stream is still helping create plenty of cloud for parts of the day although we will see some brighter spells too this afternoon.  The good news is that the air pressure is continuing to rise, albeit slowly.

As the day passes the cloud will thin / fragment and by 14:00 hours I would expect us to see some blue sky and the thermometer reaching around 20c. There is a chance (60%) of the odd shower around 10:00 hours this morning and only a 30% of a sunny shower this afternoon. For the majority of us I would expect the day to remain dry.

Overnight, the cloud will remain thin and fragmented and this may be sufficient for our astronomers to make a few observations.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 12c which is similar to last night (12.5c at 03:37 hours).

The wind will be blowing at an average speed of around 6-7mph and initially from the NW.  As the day passes we can expect the wind direction to move clockwise towards the NNE.  This wind direction will bring cool air to our area.

Tomorrow is still looking like a warm and brighter day with a top temperature of around 22-23c.

Cloudy start getting brighter.  Outside chance of the odd light shower.

Observations made 08:35 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Air pressure : 1013.8mb, Temperature : 14.2c, Wind : 4mph NW, Relative humidity : 83%, Rain since 00:01 hours : 0.0 mm, Rain this month : 51.2mm, Rain this year : 363.6mm.
