A little brighter

A damp looking start to the day but the cloud will soon fragment a little this morning and may even allow the odd brighter spell the break through.  The radar images are not showing any rain carrying clouds in our area during the morning.

As the afternoon passes we will see temperatures rise to around 18c which, after yesterday’s miserable day, will be a pleasant respite.  Overnight the temperature will see a minimum of around 10c.

The cloud cover, however, will become more dense as the afternoon passes and we are likely to see rain fall in our area late afternoon / evening.  The rain system will clear our area during the early hours of Friday.  It will not rain throughout the period indicated but this is when we are at greatest risk.

The wind will be light throughout the day.  The wind direction will be from a WSW-SW direction and will have an average speed of around 5mph during the day but increasing when the threat of rain is with to around 9mph.
