The rain radar images are showing two main bands of rain cloud moving across our area today. The first is around morning drive time. This band of rain cloud is very narrow when it reaches our area and there is a good chance that it will simply blow by or, if it does rain, it will be light and short lived. If, however, you are travelling northwards from our area this morning you are likely to see more persistent rain.
The majority of the day will then be cloudy with only the odd chance to see any brighter spells. This cloud cover will reduce our top temperature to around 15c. As we head into the later parts of the afternoon and early evening the second band of rain cloud will reach us. This currently looks a much more developed system and is likely to bring moderate and more persistent rainfall. Overnight our minimum temperature will be around 10c.
The wind today will be light at around 7mph and deriving from the NNW.
