The day will start off with a general covering of cloud. The radar images are showing that there are some small rain systems moving around our area this morning, however, I do expect that most, if not all, of these will simply blow by. We will have around a 30% chance of some light rain this morning.
As the day passes the cloud will fragment a little to allow for some brighter spells and overnight our astronomers may even be able to make some observations.
The top temperature today will be around 15c and overnight we will see the thermometer reach a low of around 6-7c. (Last night’s low was 9.6c at 02:06 hours).
The wind be deriving from the WNW-NW and the average speed will be around 6mph.
Looking ahead the GFS Ensemble is showing that we will see an increase in the average temperature around the 21st of the month with some light rain possible throughout. Heavier rain similar to yesterday is calculated for around the 18th.
