Continued high air pressure.

The jet stream continues to bring mild air from the SW and create a system of high pressure over our area.  These two combined means that we are set for another dry and mild day.

Whilst we will see plenty of cloud first thing this morning this cloud will fragment a little as the day passes and we be left with some brighter spells.  Temperatures have remained mild all night and today we will see a the thermometer reach a top temperatures of around 22-23c.  Overnight the minimum will still be a mild 12-13c.

There is only a 7% chance of any rain today so you can set out on a walk, cycle or work in the garden with a high degree of confidence  in the weather remaining mild and dry.

The wind will start off from the SSW but as the day passes we will see a minor moment towards the WSW.  The average wind speed will around 4mph.

Looking ahead the jet stream will begin to ride slightly above but will, by the end of the week, ride slightly down the UK from roughly N to S.  This will bring generally dry weather but slightly cooler weather than today.

A warm and pleasant day for the time of year.
