NE wind today.

Today will bring winds from the NE / E to our area today.  These winds are always cooler and, therefore our top temperature will be a little lower than we have enjoyed over the last few days.  The wind will be blowing at an average speed of around 7mph.

The maximum temperature today will be 16c and overnight the minimum will be around 8c.  These temperatures are around 4c lower than the at the equivalent time yesterday.

The radar images are showing that we will see plenty of cloud today and this also brings a slight risk of some rain.  This morning we can expect a little dampness in the air until temperatures warm up a little.  The rain radar is showing a small rain band that is moving towards our area  by around 10am.  This will bring a 30% chance of some light rain.

The GFS Ensemble model show that the average temperature will continue to fall over the last days of September and the first few days of October.  Autumn is definitely creeping in at the moment.

Generally cloudy and cooler than of late.
