A bright start to the morning and a beautiful sunrise at 06:45 hours heralded in another early autumn day. This day, however, thinks it belongs to late summer.
We will see some bright spells throughout the day through thin or fragmented cloud. These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 18c. Overnight, however, the thin layer of cloud will allow some of the earth’s residual heat to dissipate and the overnight minimum temperature will be around 9c.
The relative humidity is still high first thing this morning but the radar images do not show any rain clouds around our area. The chance of any rain, therefore, is only 8% today.
The wind will be deriving from the SE today and will start off very light. As the day passes we can expect a slight increase to around 6mph.
Today is looking like a good day to do a few jobs in the garden. The weekend is also looking like it could follow a similar pattern to today.
