Misty start to 28 September 2013

We are starting the day with some light mist and a general covering of cloud.  The relative humidity reading of 88% (at 08:30 hours) indicates to me that the air will have a damp feeling to it this morning.  With the heavy dew of early Autumn it will be not be an easy thing to cut the grass first thing this morning.

The day, however, will brighten up a little although the radar images are showing that we are on the cusp of the cloud covering.  To the north it will be generally clearer and brighter and to the south more cloud cover. In our area we will see some fragmentation of the cloud as the day passes and with it brighter spells.

Our top temperature today will be around 17c and overnight we can expect the thermometer to fall to around 9-10c.

The wind will have a chilly feel to it with cool winds deriving from the ENE.  The breeze will be gently this morning but as the low pressure system in the south pushes nearer to the UK we can expect to see an increase in wind speed.  The average wind speed during the day will be around 7mph.

Summary
