Today will start off and end cloudy but in the middle of the day and during parts of the afternoon we will see some bright spells through thin clouds or fragmented clouds. At times the clouds may even completely dissipate to leave a clear sky.
The jet stream, however, is running below the UK before “looping” back up towards the North. This is creating low pressures systems and winds that are blowing from the E-NE. You may remember that back it January it was winds from the E that brought about the extreme weather we incurred. Well, we are not going to see that kind of weather in September but the E/NE will certainly bring a “nip” in the air when you are in the shade. Our top temperature today will be around 16c. Overnight, when the cloud covers increases, our minimum temperature will be round 10c.
The winds will start off light but as the afternoon passes we will see an increase in speed. The average wind speed will be around 10mph.
Cloudy at the start and end of the day but bright in the middle.
