After yesterday afternoon’s lovely sunshine today will be a slightly duller affair with more cloud lingering around our area. We will see the odd brighter spell but these will generally be during the afternoon.
There is a slight risk (36%) of the odd isolated shower today and the risk is greatest during the mid to late afternoon (sunny showers). The chances are that the majority of our area will remain dry.

The wind will start of from the NE-ENE and as the day passes it will move slightly clockwise to derive from the E. The average wind speed today will be around 7mph although we may see some gusts reach twice that speed.
The air pressure continues to fall on a day by day basis (Friday 1017.1mb today 1006.5mb which suggests that the low pressure system currently sitting out the SW is beginning to move into a position of real influence. If this trend continues we can expect to see more persistent precipitation in the next few days.
