Autumn sunshine

Woodland in Autumn

Woodland in Autumn

After some early morning rain the sky is now clearing nicely (08:30 hours) and throughout the day we will have periods of bright sunshine through patchy cloud.

The chance of any further rain today is less than 10% so you can plan your activities in the garden, at the shops or taking a walk or cycle with some degree of confidence that you will not need your umbrella.  In fact, it will be quite a mild day with a top temperature of around 18c so you may not even need your coat!  Overnight, with only a small amount of cloud around, the minimum temperature will reach single digits at around 7-8c.  It should, however, be a good night for our astronomers to make some observations.

The wind today will have an average speed of around 6mph and the direction will start off from the WSW before moving slightly towards the WNW.

Overall, with the summer sun and the changing Autumn colours it is  a great day for getting out and about with your camera.
