The air pressure continues to fall and this can only signal to us that the weather will continue to be inclement. A look at the jet stream forecast shows that the jet stream is forming low pressure “loops” out the SW of us. Whilst the “stream” is running below the UK it is, at least, bringing some warmer air to the area. If you are travelling around today the weather will be “wetter” to the east and south.
Today, therefore, will start off showery in our area and this pattern will continue unto around lunchtime when we will then see some dry and possibly even brighter spells between the odd shower. Early evening the cloud will reform and this will help it become a mild night.
Our top temperatures today will be around 16c and overnight the low be around 13c.
The wind will again at times be blustery with an average speed of around 10mph and with gusts of around 20-25mph. The wind will be deriving from an arc between the S and the SW.
Early showers clearing later.
