The radar images are currently showing a band of cloud carrying light / moderate rain moving across our area until around 10:30 hours. It will not rain throughout this period but this is the period of highest risk today.
After mid morning the clouds will gradually begin to thin and fragment and we will see some brighter spells. This will not help lift the temperatures too high although our maximum during mid afternoon will be around 13-14c. With little cloud cover it will be cooler overnight with the thermometer reaching a minimum of around 6c.
The wind will be a little breezy during the morning with an average speed of around 12mph and with gusts of around 20-25mph. These gusts will eventually reduce and by mid afternoon the average wind speed will be around 6mph. Throughout the day the wind will be deriving from an arc between the WSW and the SSE.
More rain but clearing quickly. Some brighter spells to follow but breezy at times.
