Rain clouds ahead.

If you are planning to do some jobs outside or put out some washing your window of opportunity is small today as a system of rain clouds are heading our way.  The radar images are showing that the first band will reach us by around 10:00 hours.

Further systems will then follow particularly during the afternoon and although for much of the time the rain will be light there is a risk of some heavier rain around 15:00 hours.  Drizzle will then continue to be a threat until late evening.  Let me stress that it will not rain continuously from 10:00 hours onwards but the chances of some rain remains.  Some of the systems may simply blow by but the risk of rain today is at around 90%.

Our top temperature during the mid afternoon period will be around 11c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c.

The wind will be blowing from an arc between the SW and the SE today.  It will not be too blustery with the average wind speed around 6mph.
