This morning, as I discussed in yesterday’s blog, starts off a little damp. This will make the journey to work or school a little more unpleasant than we would all like. The good news is that if you have some outdoor activity planned for later in the morning the rain will soon clear. The radar images are showing that the current band of rain will be through our area by around 10:30 hours.
The remainder of the day will then be a mild affair with temperatures reaching around 13-14c. This elevated temperature will be helped by warm air blowing from the S-SW. The sudden rise in temperature and damp ground may, however, cause some mist patches. Overnight it will remain mild with a minimum temperature of 8c.
The wind will be deriving from the S-SW during the daylight hours and the average wind speed will be around 7-8mph. AS the day passes into the evening the wind direction will move clockwise towards the WNW.
A damp start but milder later.
