A cool start to the morning and gloves and your big coat will certainly be the order of the day if you are walking to work or school as the outside temperature is only 1.6c as I write this post (06:35 hours). Overnight the lowest thermometer reading was 1.3c.
The good news is that a high pressure system is sitting above our area and this will mean that we will have a dry day. The risk of any rain in our area is less than 10%.
During the day the clouds will fragment from time to time to allow for some brighter spells. This will, however, only help lift the top temperature up to maximum of 7-8c. Overnight the cloud cover will increase from the W. This increased cover will help keep in some of the residual heat and our overnight low will be around 5c.
The wind will be light with an average speed of around 3-5mph. The wind will be bringing in cool air from the WNW this morning and warmer air from the WSW as the day passes. The warmer air later in the day will help the formation of the clouds.
A dry but cool day with some brighter spells.
