A taste of winter.

Don’t be fooled by the clear sky and light clouds when you step outside today because it is on the cool side.  Our temperature at the time of these observations (06:35 hours) is 2.1c and our maximum temperature is only likely to reach around 4-5c. Later this evening the temperature will reduce to around 1c.

The radar images are currently showing some sleet on the higher levels in Wales and some of this could reach our area around 08:30 hours (40% chance).  It will not cause any problems but will just add to the general feeling that winter is on its way.  After this early risk of precipitation the day will remain dry and at times bright.

The wind will be blowing from the  WNW to start the day and will eventually end the day deriving from the WSW. The average wind speed will be around 6mph.

A cool day with the chance of an early wintry shower.
