How much more rain?

This morning the wind is deriving from an arc between the NE and the NW but the overriding fact is that it is bringing some cool air with it. It will be another cool day.

The wind this morning will have an average speed of around 7-10 mph although as the day passes into to the afternoon and evening this will reduce to around 4-5mph.

We have already seen 3mm of rain fall in our area today an 11mm in the last 24 hours.  The good news is that the radar images are now only showing small clusters of rain clouds heading our way from the NE.  The last of these systems will pass our area by around 11:00 hours. Any rain we will get between now (06:30 hours) and 11:00 hours is likely to be localised, light and short lived.

The top temperature today will be around 6c and overnight with thin cloud cover the minimum will be around 1c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was 3.2c at 00:00 hours.

This afternoon we will see the odd bright spell when the cloud based fragments a little but it will still remain a cool day.

Early rain clearing to leave a cool day.
