High air pressure – 22/11/2013

A system of high pressure is now moving above our region.  This system will bring less cloud and, therefore, less rain – hurrah!!

During the today and in particular this morning we will see some bright spells through thin or fragmented cloud.  This will help lift our top temperature up to around 5 – 6 c. The wind will also be light adding little wind chill effect to the proceedings.  Today will be a generally pleasant late Autumn day.

Overnight the temperature, due to the lack of cloud cover, will reduce to around freezing point (last night’s minimum temperature was 2.9c at 04:20 hours).  Again, can I remind you to protect your young and tender plants in the garden.

The wind will be deriving from the NW-N for the whole of the day.  The winds will be generally light with an average wind speed of around 5mph.

This weekend  also look as if it will have cool but generally dry days.  Great news if you want to get out and about or do some tidying up in the garden.
