High pressure continues to dominate over our area and looking at the GFS models it appears that this situation will continue to remain in place for the remainder of the month.
High air pressure and the jet stream riding high above the UK means we are in for some clear and bright spells during the day (today being no exception), low temperatures and frost in the mornings.
As you step out today you will notice that there was a heavy frost overnight and, hopefully, all young and tender plants were protected to prevent them from damage. This time of the year you also need to ensure that all ceramic pots and planters that are not frost protected are moved into the shed or garage.
Today we will see the thermometer reach a top temperature of around 4c and overnight the low will again hover around the 0c point. Overnight (last night) the minimum temperature as -1.2c.
The wind will be light but it will be bringing cool air from the WNW. The average wind speed will be around 3-4mph.
Another bright but cool day.
