As I write this post the air temperature is already hovering around 10c. This is a very mild start to the day. This time last year the air temperature at the same time of the day was -5.2c.
The temperature will only rise around another 1c bringing a top of around 11-11.5c by midday. Overnight we will see the cloud cover thin a little and this will allow the air temperature to reduce to 4c.
The band of cloud that delivered the late evening and early morning rain (that I spoke about in yesterday’s blog) has generally moved east beyond our area. We may see the odd localised shower this morning but the real risk of rain of further rain (around 80%) is during the mid to late afternoon / early evening.
The wind will be blustery at times but will bring mild air from the S-SW. The average wind speed will be around 7mph with gusts of up to 20mph.
