An upside down day?

The air speed instruments are telling me that it is quite breezy outside at the time of observation (around 06:40 hours). The good news, however, is that the air pressure charts clearly show the isobars across our area getting wider apart as the day passes and this means that the wind will reduce in velocity. The wind will blow from the WSW-SW all day.

To start the day the average wind speed will be around 9mph, however, gusts will reach speeds of around 25mph.  As the day passes towards the evening the average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.

The radar images are showing that there are plenty of rain clouds moving through our area this morning and just beyond lunchtime.  The chance of further rain is around 90%.

The air temperature first thing this morning is the warmest the day will be (top around 12.5c).  As the day passes the temperature will slowly reduce and, by noon, the thermometer will be showing around 9c.  Overnight the reduction in temperature will continue and the minimum overnight will be around 4c.
