Rain moving in.

The air pressure charts are showing the isobars tightly packed together today and this indicates it is going to be a breezy day throughout.  the average wind speed will be around 12mph with gusts reaching around 35mph. The wind will be deriving from the SW-SSW.

As the day passes the radar images are showing firstly some showers during the morning  (particularly the later part)then more persistent rain will move across the UK during the afternoon.  The images are showing that the more dense cloud (and thus heavier rain) will reach our area by late afternoon / early evening.

Our top temperature today will be around 9-10c but the wind chill will make this feel more like 6-7c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 3c.
