After the temperature dip last night we wake all wake up to a misty morning. The mist will linger for a few hours before dissipating later in the morning.
It will, however, be a cool day during the daylight hours with a top temperature only around 3c. During the night, however, the temperature will warm to around 5c. (Our overnight/ early morning low was -0.1c).
The change in the overnight temperature will coincide by increased wind speeds and prolonged periods of rain. We can expect the rainfall to commence late evening and last until around 05:00-06:00 hours on the 27th.
From late afternoon / early evening we will notice an increase in the wind speed and this is caused by a low pressure system that is currently out the west of the UK. It will being more stormy conditions to parts of the UK.
The average wind speed in our area will increase from around 5mph this morning to around 12mph by mid evening. The wind gust speeds this evening and overnight could be around 40mph. The wind will derive from the S-SW.
