More rain but how much?

The radar images are showing that the heavy rain cloud is currently missing our area and whilst we may see some light rain / drizzle during the drive to work the rain should not present any real difficulties.

As the day passes the risk of the odd localised shower continues to present a risk and there is a 60% chance of us all seeing some light rainfall / drizzle.  After dark (around 18:00 hours to 24:00 hours) another more significant band of rain will move into our area and will bring more generalised and persistent rainfall.  The chances of rain after 18:00 hours is currently 90%+.  The rainfall after dark will be about 5mm.

The temperature will not rise much above 5c during the day and will only reduce by a degree or so overnight.

The wind will be blowing from the SW at an average speed of around 8mph during the afternoon / evening.  The wind during the morning will be light at around 4mph.
