As I write this post (approx. 06:45 hours) light rain is falling, however, the radar images tell me that this current system will soon pass. The remainder of the day will, however, see a 75% risk of further rain with the largest risk being around 18:00 hours.
The day will see a general covering of cloud but the sun will break through from time to time to bring a some brightness to a generally grey month so far. These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 6-7c. Overnight the risk of rain increases again and we can expect further rain. The minimum temperature overnight will be around 3c.
The wind will be deriving from the SW although it may drift a few degrees clockwise towards the WSW. The average wind speed today will be around 8mph.
