This morning sees a change in weather hazard for us with frost and ice forming on some untreated paths and roads. Overnight the temperature reached a low of -0.4c at 03:31 hours and it will take some time to warm up. Some early brighter spells will, however, help the temperature rise.
We will see the thermometer reach a top temperature of around 6c and the air pressure charts are showing that the isobars are spread well apart. This means that the winds will be light. The average wind speed will be around 5mph. The wind will be deriving from the WSW for much of the day.
This afternoon the cloud cover will increase and we have a 45% chance of seeing some rain. With the increased cloud cover the temperature minimum overnight will remain on the positive side at around 2c. With the increased cloud cover we can expect to see rain move into our area by tomorrow morning.
