15 February 2014. Weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and Pelsall area.

After a windy St Valentine’s day today will see the breeze gradually reduce in speed. It will take nearly all day, however, for us to really see the full effects. The good news, however, is that the air pressure is rising, albeit slowly, and this bodes well for a fairer day on Sunday. The average wind speed today will be around 14mph with gusts during the morning and early afternoon around 30mph.

Our top temperature today will be during the early parts of the day at around 7c. A slight wind shift from the SW to the W by late morning will bring us cooler air. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 1-2c.

The radar images are showing plenty of rain clouds around so we can expect light rain at times during the day.

Summary
A breezy day with more light rain at times.

Observations made 06:40 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Air pressure : 974.7mb; Temperature : 5.9c; Relative humidity : 81%; Wind : 11mph SSW.
