Today sees some respite from the stormy and wet weather and we will even some bright and sunny spells through thin or fragmented. Make the most of this good weather today if you are thinking of doing some work outside or just fancy a “stretch” in the countryside because it isn’t going to last beyond today (tuesday).
More positive news for today is that air pressure is above 1000mb for the first time in 12 days, however, after dark the cloud cover will thicken and air pressure will begin to fall.
The top temperature today will be around 7c and in the wind chill this will feel more like 5c. This is Ok because at least it will not be wet too. The wind will be deriving from the WSW and the average wind speed will be around 7mph. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 3c.
Now for the bad news.
The pressure charts and radar images are showing that another low pressure system is building out the WSW and by tomorrow morning’s drive time we can expect to be seeing some more rain.
