Today sees the air pressure begin to fall below 1000mb once again. This signals the return of some showery and breezy weather. The good news, however, is that we will have some bright spells too.
The radar images are currently showing a band of light rain clouds heading our way. The first band will reach us just after 08:00 hours. It is extremely unlikely we will get away with all of the rain clouds simply blowing by and, therefore, we can expect some light rain this morning during the drive to work.
As the day passes we should expect periods of sunshine through fragmented cloud and the risk of rain is around 75%.
The breeze will be stronger today than yesterday with an average speed of around 14mph. Some gusts could see that speed double. The wind will be deriving from a SW-S arc.
The top temperature today will be around 10c which will be achieved early in the day. By mid afternoon the temperature will have reduced to around 8c but it will feel more like 4c with the wind chill. Overnight the minimum temperature will be 2c.
A breezy day with bright spells and the risk of occasional localised showers.
