A taste of spring

The barometer is showing a rise in the air pressure and the radar images show that there is very little cloud around for the earlier parts of the day.  There will be a steady breeze blowing but if we compare the weather to last Saturday then today will certainly be a little taste of Spring.

During the morning we will see plenty of bright spells through fragmented cloud.  The cloud cover will increase as the afternoon passes but overall we should see at least 5-6 hours of sunshine.

Our top temperature will rise to around 10c and overnight with some increasing cloud cover reduce to around 6c.  The wind will be blowing from the SW at approximately 8-9mph and this will bring a 3c wind chill i.e reduce the feel of the thermometer reading by 3c.  During the day the wind speed will increase slightly as the isobars appear to get closer and this will bring the average wind speed up to around 12mph.  Gusts speeds could be around 20-25mph.

There is only a slight (25%) chance of some light localised rain today.  Any shower would be short-lived.
