The jet stream is just catching the north and north-east parts of the UK. This will help bring a little more cloud to our area but it will remain dry and, at times, bright. Most of all, however, it will be another day of mild temperatures.
Our top temperature today will not reach the dizzy heights reached on the 9th of the month when at around 15:30 hours we reached 18.6c. However, today will still be mild at around 14-15c. Overnight, with some cloud cover, the minimum temperature will be around 5c. Last night’s minimum temperature was just over 6c – a very mild day all round.
The wind will bring some cooler air today at times. Starting off from the SW we can expect a “swing” towards the WNW as the day passes. The average wind speed today will be around 8mph with gusts up to 20mph. The wind chill will “take off” about 2c from the thermometer temperature.
Today will have some good light for photography and will be mild enough for working in the garden, allotment or just enjoying a walk in the park.
